A refresh and remodel of the 17,000 sq. ft. Trader Joe’s on Archer Road in Gainesville, FL is complete. Initiatives included a store-wide refresh and major upgrades to refrigeration and HVAC systems.
Store Refresh
- New paint + murals
- Repaired, stained, polished sales floor
- Replaced damaged ceiling tiles + cedar planking
- Installed new case endcaps
- Removed diamond plating
- Replaced Eliason doors
- Updated restrooms with new tile + paint finishes
CO2 Refrigeration Conversion
- Replaced 192 ft of refrigerated case & coil with new AcornVac components + remote case control
- Installed new pipe runs throughout to meet the 60-barstandard for CO2
- Installed evaporator heads for the existing + new walk-in coolers
- Rewired electrical + cabling circuits
- Added new Hill Phoenix Advansor Dual Temp Rack
- Installed new BAC Trillium Gas Cooler on roof with additional joist reinforcements
- Cable, pipe, plumbing and electrical pulled, booted and sealed
- Installed new Copeland E3 Rack Controls + E3 HVAC Controls with new case, duct, space, humidity, and light sensors throughout
- Migrated Acorn Vac System to accommodate new cases
- Added new walk-in cooler and relocated existing freezer door
